About the Author

Lea Melville is the author and photographer behind Israel: His People, His Place – a photographic celebration of the people, the land, and the everyday beauty of Israel.

Lea, a native Houstonian, has enjoyed travelling while photographing the beauty of His creation. Before her journey to Israel, she had thought of travel to Israel as just another destination. However, she was in for a grand surprise. In Israel, she found the treasure of spiritual revelation and the healing presence of her Creator, Lord and Savior. A step off the plane and onto the sacred ground where He chose to dwell and send His Son filled her with wonder and joy.

Through her journaling while in Israel, Lea has documented how scripture and modern life intertwine. From Abraham’s well in Be’er Sheva to Jerusalem’s ancient stones, from the City of David located south of the Temple Mount to the rocky pathway Yeshua walked up to Caiaphas’ palace – she has chronicled photographically the beauty of the land He inhabits.

Here’s hoping that through this work, you are inspired in your own life walk to draw closer to the Creator of the Universe! He so longs to build a relationship with us and partner with us in what He wants to accomplish for His purposes in our lives, and we are encouraged by Him to be unafraid in our endeavors as He has promised He will never leave us nor forsake us.
